Assign Tasks to Groups

I would like the ability to assign a task to a group instead of a specific person.
As an example the task Create Art would be assigned to the Art Department Group. This task would show on everyone's task list that was in the Art Department Group until someone checked it off. After being checked off, this task would disappear from each member of the Art Department Group.
This would help keep Vacation days, sick days, job overlaps from delaying the task from being completed.
A Group task could be later assigned a specific person if the task required that person's specific skill.
A group task reassigned to specific person would then only show on their task list.

This would be incredibly useful as most of our employees float around and their tasks often overlap.

GROUP DEPARTMENT JOBS

It would be helpful if you can group all titled jobs for each specific job together on the day's schedule. For example, SCREENPRINTING is one group and under that are all the jobs(still in separate icons) as the subgroup. That way, they always stay with that group instead of scattered throughout the day. You can link it by offering a menu to choose from, screenprinting/heat transfer/ embroidery, etc.

Assign a task to a group of users for selection

It would be great to not just be able to assign something to a particular user but a group of users or multiple users. For example, assign to the art department. Every member would get the heads up, and as soon as someone claims the job it is notated who claimed it and it becomes specific to them, or flagged to the other users that it has been claimed. In our case we don't assign a job to an artist, we do them first available. So right now we have to login as art and then change the person to a individual, then logout and log back in to our individual just to keep up with it. Lots of steps right now. Equally in the print department, the team rotates so different people can claim different roles depending on the days.

tasks assigned to two+ employees

We have staff that will cover certain roles depending on whats going on, like checking in goods or prepping shipments. It would be pretty useful to assign tasks to employee "a" OR employee "b" so that they have a dynamic task list.. task sharing

You should be able to select multiple people when assigning tasks

I agree with Jeff. Group tasking would be more efficient and result in a better work flow in all departments associated with a work order

Maybe have an employee task group that multiple employees could be assigned to, for example, we have 3 people managing sales, so a sales group would get a follow up task of asking for feedback or reviews etc

I agree, this would be great. I have multiple artists and right now I can only assign the task to one, so I have to keep track of each workload to even the work out.

Another option in tangent with this one would be, when your setting what a users privileges, that you can set a user to see or other specific users or tasks. Currently it's you see everything, or you see only just stuff assigned to you. But if you assigned stuff to let's say "art" but three users could all see "art" stuff and then grab the work and change it to themselves... that would also solve the issue.
