Automatic Invoice date change upon invoicing customer

Please update so that when we invoice our customer the invoice date automatically updates as well. Our bookkeeper wants to strangle us because when she is reconciling the invoice date doesn't correspond to the actual invoicing. This is a pain to do manually and should be automated.

Those of us that have the system interact with quick books use the invoice date as the day the order is actually completed. If it was the day of approval that would cause huge issues. I don't know how this affects everyone else. Looking at some of the comments I think we use invoice date for different purposes

I agree if a quote sits there for a month and then they approve then the dates should change when it is changed to an invoice. This messages with commissions if it doesn't get caught.

We've asked for this previously. For our purposes, the Invoice date is the date the Sale is confirmed or Quote approved. It would be so helpful if this date change was automatic.
