Payment requests need an update. We should be able to request a 50% deposit, but if the customer wants to pay the whole amount they can do so. The 50% is just a minimum payment, but they have the ability to pay more if they choose. I'm fine with them paying me the total balance up front.
Also, if we send a payment request, then the customer changes something on the invoice, and we update it, the payment request does not currently auto update. It has to be resent with the new correct amount. Those 2 things shouldn't be separate.

When you request payment, if you update the invoice and add or delete items the orignina email still links to the old amount. Since it's web hosted and not an attachment, the invoice should reflect the current total of that invoice number. This has led to clients paying the incorrect amount.

It would be awesome if an invoice has to be changed after a payment request is sent, the payment request automatically updates to reflect the correct amount. This has caused customers to over/under pay as changes were made but the outstanding payment request doesn't reflect the change.

Yea if we change it we have to send out another quote approval for it to reset the amount.

This is a problem. It would be nice if an automation update the requested amount. We try to remember here but if we forget we have to send a second payment request out. I'm sure it's annoying and confusing for customers.

Great idea. We've been burned many times before, updating the quantity of a line item (which increases the total price), but forgetting to "request payment" a second time (really shouldn't have to do this at all) -- the customer pays the first amount by default and then we look dumb saying "oh, there was a bug in the system, this is actually not paid in full, you still owe us $XXX, sorry"...

ideally the payment amount could be editable by customer, like qbo's checkout which is much better than pooptavos
