SALES TAX

For the love of God. please fix this issue!! I had previously suggested this, as did someone else. We had a sales tax increase, I updated it at the global level however if we create a duplicate invoice that was done under the old tax rate, it keeps that same old rate on there. I knew this was going to be problematic when I first noticed it back in January.

YES! It is so frustrating!!!

Duplicate quote.
Save it out.
Change the invoice to a different customers account.
Save.
Change the customer back to the correct customer.
Save.

Kyle Peterson Thanks for the suggested work around but I would rather stick a hot fork in my eye than jump though that many hoops.

Tracy Seitzer OMG such a painful process.. Literally takes a hot 30 seconds to do lol... A lot less effort than going in and trying to collect or pay the difference that you aren't properly collecting.

Tracy Seitzer haha ya or just changed the rate at the bottom...

This came up years ago and Printavo people fought the idea so hard.
They truly think that when you duplicate the invoice you want a duplicate of the invoice, including the tax rate.
Why would I ever want to preserve an old tax rate if it had changed? They just don't get it, because they don't use the platform. Then they consult with shop owners who don't use the platform either.

If you ever get around to fixing the Sales Tax, can we PLEASE allow for separate tax rates on the same invoice? In some locations, not everything is taxed at the same rate - for example, children's clothing is taxed at a lower rate. Youth sizes require a different tax rate.

Linda Bruno Yep, I have had this problem with their Quickbooks since they launched it. It cost me $7000 in the end to sort out all the tax rates it had overwritten.
Printavo knows they need dual tax rates since 2015 at least. They are happy to let bookkeepers adjust it manually on the Quickbooks side.
Fun fact, they used to call it 'Quickbooks Sync'. I put a lot of pressure on them to change the name, it literally does not sync and never has.
