I wanted to report an ongoing issue with how taxes function on duplicated invoices in Printavo. When an old invoice is duplicated, the date automatically updates the current date, yet the tax rates do not. Even when tax settings have been updated in the system, duplicated invoices continue to use outdated rates. This creates legal and financial risk for users: if the discrepancy is caught, we must re-bill customers or cover the difference ourselves; if it’s missed, it can cause issues during an IRS audit. I’ve seen this issue raised several times in the past, but it appears Printavo has not addressed it. It’s unclear why the software updates the invoice date correctly but does not apply the current tax rate. This inconsistency is frustrating and could push customers to leave Printavo if it continues. It would be extremely helpful if duplicated invoices automatically applied to the current tax rate or prompted the user to update it.
